A revenge story that flopped big. You have them killing Joel a guy who has torn apart the military, fireflies, hunters and anybody else in the most stupid way. If you’re going to kill someone like him it has to be a worthy killing. Then they have you believing this is Ellie’s story as she wrestles her feelings over Joel who became a father but also felt betrayed over what happen in the first. But you play as this random man woman who killed Joel 60% of the game trying to make you feel bad for her (the whole time I just wanted to be Ellie and destroy her). Also everyone is prego and fighting. The story leads to a bunch of back and forth failed killing attempts and when it gets to the final fight Ellie gets a flash of Joel you’d think would make her even more angry and kill this man woman who took Joel away from her, but instead spares her and that’s it. I’m so disappointed in the story and how they handled the strained relationship of Joel and Ellie and didn’t bring justice to Joel dying.
