A solid addition to the Pixar roster Took my soon to be 8-year-old and 5-year-old to see Elio. Both gave it a big thumbs up. My 8-year-old couldn’t take her eyes off the screen. She was more into it than I expected and totally locked in from start to finish. My 5-year-old held on for most of it too, though he got a little antsy for about 15 to 20 minutes in the middle. Still, he stayed with it and liked it overall. As for the movie itself? Elio is solid. It has heart, humor, and a great message without hitting you over the head with it. It’s not quite Toy Story or Monsters Inc. level for me, but it’s definitely a worthy addition to the Pixar lineup. Great for kids, enjoyable for adults, and a nice reminder that being different is something to celebrate.
