This game is good in the aspect of free roam, new mechanics and plenty of playable characters. Where it falls short and what I've failed to see a lot of people talk about is the fact that for story and actual levels this game falls DRASTICALLY short compared to other Lego games. The "levels" where you find minikits and have to achieve true Jedi by collecting studs are nothing more than driving with no real effort or anything. Also as for telling the story it really fails to do so. Cutscenes and story telling is a bare minimum. Unless you've played any other star wars or watched the movies you'd have no real understanding of what is really going on or what it's all about. I love the open world and collecting don't get me wrong, but I also love playing through levels that tell the story as well as have some replayability to them for finding everything. Playing a driving mission with a very good chance you'll miss a minikits or some other important item was very common. I don't mind replaying stuff but missing something constantly because the level is self guided is frustrating. Overall the game isn't bad but I feel like it falls short compared to other Lego titles.
Pros: vast open world, lots of great characters, voice acting is good, many new mechanics and fun things to find
Con: Storytelling is pretty much non-existent, actual story based levels are mostly hand held and self playing.
