After season 1 I would have rated it a 4, after season 2, probably a 3, but now after season 3, even 2 stars seem to be a generosity. Queen Charlotte was a one off solid prequel and I loved it. The pleasing aesthetics of the 1st season is what was most appealing to me initially. Who doesn't like to watch pretty people wearing pretty clothes, having a gala time and most importantly, super hot chemistry between beautiful people. This continued with season 2, however, things started feeling slightly more repetitive, thus drawing your attention more towards facts like historical inaccuracies of a racially integrated society in the times at which the story is based- a clear pandering to the woke culture. The 3rd season is especially lack-lustre in terms of its romance and chemistry while making it conspicuously obvious of the deliberate choice of inclusivity of concepts of body positivity and differently abled people, while not addressing how such issues actually play out in real life. Penelope is a great character and I have no hate towards her, however, to be honest, her persona is just not attractive enough for a "steamy" romance. That is not to say that a steamy romance is the only kind of romance which deserves attention, however, the story doesn't play out her romance story any differently from those of Daphne or Kate who are both arguably so much more attractive to watch on screen. They should have played her story to her individualistic strengths, instead of trying to force a situation of insane sexy attraction towards her, which sorry to say, to be honest, wasn't believable enough. It is highly unfortunate that this woke culture of abnormal inclusivity is slowly depriving all fiction of any basis of reality.
