John Grisham has written a few books that are not mysteries, and this may well be his best. A young man from South Sudan is offered a chance to play in a showcase basketball tournament in the US. And he wins everyone's hearts. But this is more than a story about basketball - - though fans will love the sport talk - - it's a character driven story of joy and youth and tragedy with insights into the terrible situation in South Sudan. I didn't expect to like this book not knowing a great deal about basketball, but it definitely moved me.
