I watched the โdocumentary โ a few hours ago and it just couldnโt sit in my head how stupid Netflix made Sarma look like. I couldnโt believe anything i watched, it just doesnโt make sense. They donโt explain how it must feel to be afraid, attained, raped, and still having to live under the control of another human being. I have been watching many Netflix โs documentaries over the last months and now i wonder how many other cases like hers are out there where the truth have been twisted or hidden for entertainment. As a viewer i feel lied to, manipulated and played with my emotions. It made me think how many times have Netflix manipulated my view.
If i wanted some twisted drama then I would have gone to youtube instead and had it for free and not be paying a monthly fee for a misleading information. It had me feeling of Netflix as not having much interest in sharing the truth but only trying to make some profit out of me.
Sarma has a vlog where she explains the truth of what really happened. She was raped and mentally abused the whole length of their relationship and she only contacted his abusive husband because Netflix asked her to do so otherwise they have not be in touch as the documental made it look like.
Iโm really sorry for everything Sarma went through and i genuinely want the best for her.
