Reading these reviews, I don’t think people understand the depth of how good this album is…especially Jack Holt who ‘clearly’ doesn’t know much about art and thinks KC is a pop song machine, not a person creating art. Which is why this is EXACTLY the album she should release. You know why there’s not a ‘standout single’??? Because they are all standouts. I could talk about everything she did right and/or better than almost everyone, for a week…can we talk about her singing? The breaks in her voice, her harmonies, her range….Lyrics? Composition? story arc? Instrumentation?? It’s stupid good. But here I’ll say this…. It is Breakaway with 24 yrs of experience, living, and healing. So yeah, I see multiple Grammy Nominations and wins.
