I have read a few positive and negative reviews, and I think how you feel about this book is different for each person and what they like. I do admit the first few chapters were awful. I didn't look to see what this book was about, and normally hate the fantasy genre, but I gave it a chance and was glad I did. The author was very good at developing the characters and the sound effects did help for visualization. Yes, there were very corny parts, and it was obvious from the beginning that Fayre and Tamlin would hook up, but the story line was very imaginative and I loved the happy ending.
