The CW version cast just feels out of place and very JV. Lacking the gravitas of past casts, the intonation that is taught and learned so carefully isn't there with this cast. The reason we like to watch Monday night football or Sunday night football is because of the tone of voice of the commentators, and these guys aren't that Sounds high pitched and comes across as whiny and inexperienced.
