Cat Lover

As a senior in High school we are currently reading this book in a class to compare to the movie later. I have heard so much about this book and how great it was from so many different people throughout the years and was very excited to read it when my teacher handed it to me. But only after a couple pages I became extremely disappointed in how little substance this book really had. Is it accurate? Maybe. Does that make it good? No. As someone who has never experienced many things Charlie does in the book it may be ill of me to express my feelings upon it but I feel it has to be said. The book has absolutely no plot, sure we are going through Charlie’s life through his letters (which gets old very quick) but his life is so uninteresting it becomes a pain to get through. Absolutely nothing is happening throughout the entire book and at this point no twist at the end can make up for the lack of imagination and terrible story this book attempts to portray. Don't even get me started on the basically porn in this book either, page 30 was my first introduction to the topic in the book and it become such a shock to me that I completely stopped reading after that letter was over and took a break for 2 days. Overall this book was a total disappointment and if you want to read it, the Wikipedia description will basically give you everything the book would normally in less time and effort. It is so bad I wanna give you a 0, but that's not possible so I give you a 1
