Not even close to Simeon's Maigret apart from the name. The series with Rowan Atkinson is street's ahead of this drama. The main character is nothing like the Maigret of the books, or the various T.V. versions that have been broadcast over the last 60 or more years and is O.K. as a Police whodunit but Maigret it isn't. Sad, because I was hoping that this new version would for whatever reason would follow the books and characters therein. Oh well, hopefully someone will try again .

Well, Where to start, a complete farce, Anne Boleyn was many things,but, she was not black. A good story ruined by a ridiculous revision of fact. Rubbish show.
