I've been playing COD since the beginning. I missed out on BO4, Cold War and MW 2019 due to prison but played everything before and after. I've enjoyed every game they've made in some form or fashion with the exception being World War from 2017. Didn't like it and PUBG caught my attention when it came to console then I went away. I love Treyarch and all their games. BO is definitely my favorite. BO1-3 are my for sure my favorites. I enjoyed the recent MW2 and 3 for what they were. They weren't perfect by any stretch but I tried every "COD killer" and honestly they just made me appreciate COD even more. With that being said my excitement level for BO6 was high and safe to say they haven't disappointed me at all. For the first time in a very long while I've been excited for all 3 phases and all 3 phases deliver. Campaign is back to what I remember. Zombies is as well but peppered with some of the newer things they've done which I like. Multi-player I haven't done much with but never do until HC comes out but I'll say I rather enjoyed the Beta so I'm expecting more of that but better. Haters will hate, that's what they do. The amount of hate these titles get year after year from the supposed "die hards" is laughable at this point. They just aren't very good at the game is my guess and hating on the franchise seems like a fad at this point. The same people hating are the same ones dropping into war zone with their kitty op and getting waxed. This franchise has been putting out top level FP shooters and War Sims for decades now and it's always at the top. Quality audio, graphics and mechanics and always innovative or they copy someone else but do it better...but really we know what we are getting when the new COD comes out. They aren't breaking ground because they are the ground at this point and the bar when it comes to this type of game. This game is just damn good and don't let the schmucks ruin it for you if you're a fan of the franchise or the genre. Especially if you're on Xbox and get via GamePass. It's worth the price of admission and more. Excited for what's to come from this year's COD experience. Well done Treyarch
