We absolutely loved Wicked! I have seen the Broadway show multiple times, and it’s one of our kids’ favorites. We came into the movie, already fans of the music and story. However, this movie was beyond our expectations! Cynthia and Ariana are absolute treasures in the roles of Elphaba and Glinda - they are both such amazing vocal talents. Ariana is delightfully funny! And the sets, costume, choreography - it’s all mesmerizing. If you are a fan of the Broadway show, you will love this film. If you are a fan of the original Wizard of Oz (a true fan), you will love this film. But, if you are not a fan of Broadway musicals, this movie is most definitely NOT for you. It’s visually spectacular and the score is one of Broadway’s best, but it is long, and takes it time to give a great deal of backstory. As a fan, I relished all of it, but a non-fan would find it cumbersome. But if you LOVE this story, and all of it’s Broadway/Frank Baum glory - you will love this movie, and want to see it again and again.

Such a sweet film! Loved sharing it with my little ones! Definitely a great film to curl up and watch with your elementary aged children.
