I didn't know much about Leonard Bernstein or his music but was eager to watch after seeing clips. Magnificent photography and acting...and the music is infinitely gorgeous. I think they'd both be pleased.

Wow...How did I miss this one before now?

I thought this movie was a hoot back when it first was released to video...DeVito, Midler brilliant as always but the rest of the cast is where the craziness shines. Great writing and comedic timing throughout. Underrated gem.

Superb acting, gorgeous music, and a love story about family. Honestly one of my new favorite films!

Falling in love with the Beatles all over again. Love this. All those involved, including a young Billy Preston, creating from the air the sound that has accompanied the happiest and saddest moments of generations.

Oscar Isaac is incredible. He not only changes his chameleon colors, he changes species. The cinematography was thrilling and frightening and disturbing. The conversations were awkward, stilted, and revealing. This is a powerful film in that you can't wash it off. It sticks to your skin and gets in your pores.

Not even sure what to say but expected something much more satisfying than this. Was hoping she'd end him.

The more Giovanni Ribisi I see, the more I want to see him in! The rest of the cast is pretty great but GR is SO authentic as Marius/Pete. One question...can anyone agree on how to pronounce Marius? Is it a long A or a short A? Or how to say aunt?

Everyone has described this film so well already. I feel like a better human after watching it. So much respect to all those involved in this creative exploration of children and adults and our relationship and responsibility to each other and the world around us.
