Jessica R (The Crafty Rabbit)

As a lifelong Little Mermaid fan, I am happy with the overall execution of the movie. Halle was great and her voice was exceptional. The extra scenes they added on land were so fun to watch. However, the issues I have with the movie are the look of the side characters. I couldn't get over the "realistic" versions of these they tried to sell. Eric's accent made his song sound almost off key, that's so odd to me for a lead role and feel noone has mentioned this. Also, the movie was very dark, like literally. In the scenes while under the sea a lot of the time, I was struggling to see what was going on. Like Ursula's scenes or in the grotto, etc. I wish that was not an issue. There we're a few added thungs I could have done without (the rap style song for example). But overall, well done. Loved Under The Sea, it was so beautiful, I wish the whole movie had that vivid brightness to it.
