Engrossing, unique vision from the director, great performances. You can't take your eyes off Tripti, she commands every scene she's in.
At first the red tint is a bit too much, but you slowly get used to it. The feminine rage, shift from innocence to resigned maturity, her feet as a metaphor, the use of Kali Maa to show divine vengeance...wow. Dutt knows what she's doing, can't believe it's her debut film! Beautiful blend of Bengali heritage with gothic horror. The story is quite predictable, but the treatment is so interesting that you can't stop watching.
