At first i was a bit skeptic about the game i was really sad to see how telltale ended up and how disappointing their recent games were but thankfully THIS is what i expected from a modern telltale game where the formula is taken to the next level. Positives: -Fantastic cast of characters especially robert who is an incredibly well written protagonist that you have surprisingly a good amount of control over how he behaves and aaron paul amazing delivery elevates him to one of my favorite protagonists. -Flawless pacing, the story is incredibly consistent thanks to its fantastic pacing and not a single moment felt like padding or time wasting it feels incredibly tight and demands your attention through and through hours can pass without me even feeling it. -Surprisingly fun gameplay now telltale were never that great when it comes to gameplay and their focus is mainly on the story,but i actually really love the gameplay with how you have to dispatch the right heroes and the hacking mini games are both addicting making this the first telltale-like game that has a gameplay that compliments the already fantastic story. -Incredible animation, this is one of the key areas where it really feels like an evolution of the telltale formula where the past games had a gamey 3d visuals that are not that great, this games visuals and art direction on the other hand is fantastic and well animated that makes it feel more like a triple A quality instead of an indie game. Negatives: -Some technical issues where i had a game breaking bug where i had to redo an entire episode because the dispatching mission refuses to go forward. Conclusion: As a telltale fan this game is everything i hoped for in a modern telltale game despite the fact its not made by them not only is the incredible writing still intact but its elevated by its addicting gameplay and fantastic visuals, as of now the game still has episode 7-8 to release and so far the game is an incredibly solid 10/10 for me and by far one of my favorite games i played this year.

Silksong has been in development for almost a decade and with so much hype and anticipation with sadly a mixed results,its kind off frustrating when a game gets so much right yet it eventually falters because of the developers stubborn approach to game design and being too attached to ideas that either dont work or are outdated. I will start with the positives: +Incredibly beautiful and atmospheric world with so many bioms and areas to discover backed with level design that is tighter and more polished than the last game. +A lot of enemy and boss variety with unique and well made animations its kind off insane. +Fantastic controls making the game feel so smooth to play whether its platforming or fighting. +rich lore and amazing environmental storytelling +all of this for just 20$ With all of this the game has every reason to become a masterpiece but the game sadly shoots itself in the foot because it wants to appeal to the absolute hardcore fans who dont even know what balancing or pacing even mean. -Unrewarding exploration in any metroidvania the most fun you can have is exploring and being rewarded by finding hp or damage upgrades, silksong gives none 90% of the time making progression feel nonexistent and its made worse by my second negative. -80% of things whether its enemies, bosses and environments deal x2 damage and while some tension is good silksong is tension pretty much all the time you can die and lose progress at any moment making the experience feel exhausting rather than fun and rewarding and its made worse by my third negative. -Little to no checkpoints, there is a big chunk of my playtime that is dedicated to runbacks, its a design that is not only objectively bad that serves no purpose to the game but even fromsoft knew this in elden ring and pretty much reduced it, silksong sticks to it even against the toughest bosses it places checkpoints that are very far, making boss fights way more frustrating than they already are. -Map system is outdated since HK1, it was an interesting idea that really didnt add much to the experience, navigating in 2d Environments is a paid and metroidvanias heavily relied on maps, silksong brings this odd design choice back for some reason, some maps are hidden as if they were upgrades giving you little to no hints on how to get to them. -Horrible pacing, the game feels very uneven when it comes to unlocking your abilities, and like the point before this also hurts progression. Fromsoft brought back challenge to video games and it was an amazing trend, but as time went on many soulslike are starting to go to the other extreme where things like balance and progression dont exist in order to please certain "hardcore" gamers, people will eventually walk away from these games and will want to go back to less frustrating experiences, silksong is unquestionably a game made with heart and soul but sadly its made with only the most hardcore fanboys in mind.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was an ambitious and unique RPG, but it was held back by its limited budget, resources, and the developers' lack of experience in making such a complex game. Despite this, it delivered an unforgettable medieval experience that few games dared to attempt. Fast forward to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and the sequel not only builds upon its predecessor but surpasses it in every way, cementing itself as one of the defining RPGs of this generation. Pros: Incredible main story – While KCD 1 had a solid story, KCD 2 takes storytelling to new heights. The dialogue is sharper, the humor is genuinely funny, and the emotional moments hit hard. The final act, in particular, delivers some of the most powerful moments in gaming history. Top-tier side quests – Nearly every side quest is open-ended, allowing for creative problem-solving, especially if you pay close attention to NPC dialogues. The writing is fantastic, and the quests feel deeply connected to the main story and the world. They rival the best in RPG history, standing alongside The Witcher 3 and Baldur’s Gate 3. Fantastic characters – From the charismatic protagonist Henry to one of the best "bros" in gaming, Hans, the character writing is phenomenal. The voice acting and dialogue make every interaction feel natural and engaging, drawing you into the world. An open world that rewards exploration – While KCD 2 doesn’t have fantasy elements like underground cities in Elden ring or sky islands like in TOTK, it more than makes up for it with an absurd level of historical detail, immersive NPC behavior, dynamic events, and rewarding exploration. The world feels alive, with random encounters and hidden locations that make every journey worthwhile. Kuttenberg is A top-tier RPG city - Kuttenberg might just be one of the most immersive RPG cities ever created, packed with detail, NPC interactions, and activities that truly make it feel alive and it’s huge aswell. Improved combat – The combat system has been refined, adding new weapons and making fights feel even better than in the first game. While battles against multiple enemies can still be tricky, and late-game enemies could be more challenging, the combat is some of the best in the genre, but keep in mind if you did not enjoy the combat in the original you prolly won’t like it here. Tons of activities and skill progression – Every skill levels up the more you use it, and many come with immersive mini-games that make progression feel meaningful and rewarding. Cons: The save system still isn’t great – While slightly improved from KCD 1, the restrictive save system remains frustrating. Hopefully, future patches will either remove it or relegate it to hardcore mode. Some pacing issues in the middle – There are a few slow sections, though they aren’t nearly as bad as in some JRPGs. Still, a minor issue worth noting. Final Verdict: KCD 2 isn’t for everyone it demands patience and immersion but if you give it the time it deserves, you’ll experience something truly special. It’s not just one of the best RPGs of this generation—it’s one of the best open-world games ever made. Standing alongside The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Elden Ring, and Breath of the Wild, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a rare game that excels in every area, from its open-ended gameplay to its incredible writing and meticulously crafted world.

In a generation full of remakes, remasters and sequels of a 20+ year old franchise Metaphor stands out as new IP and what happens when you give top tier developers the creative freedom and budget that they deserve. I still have not finished the game but im very far and i can safely say this might be the best Jrpg i have ever played and i say this as someone who grew up with the genre, Katsura hoshino and his team are some of the best Jrpg developers out there and they have made SMT nocturne, Persona 3-5 and catherine and you can see from this game is the culmination of all their work. +While this game does indeed use the persona formula this game perfects it 100% some people might be turned off by this because people want to see a new formula but honestly? i prefer it if they use something they are experienced with rather than have them create something new and result in an uneven formula, it also establishes its own identity that separates it from persona. +Social sim when it comes to spending time with main/side characters in the persona games the quality felt uneven and inconsistent with mediocre rewards, this game takes it to the next level not only are they way better when it comes to writing, they are great because they unlock important rewards. +Combat is incredibly balanced with some of the best usage of the job system i have ever seen, many of the boss fights feel like puzzles and the difficulty is fair and there is so much potential and possibilities when it comes to party and class mash ups, the action combat also makes the combat much better allowing you to take care of trash enemies and have a high risk/reward enemy encounters. +Side quests/hunts are excellent, sometimes they send you to dungeons that are usually fun to explore and give you a chance to level up your classes without feeling getting bored from grinding and these quests usually have great rewards. +Art direction is phenomenal, from enemies, environments, UI and animation are top tier. +A sense of adventure that was very missing in the persona games, in the persona games u are still stuck in the same city, while in this game you travel around the world and learn about its world and the worldbuilding in this game is deep and will reward you for exploring it. + Incredible Story with the best characters atlus has written, its very hard to talk about the story without spoiling it but the story focuses on 3 main things, what it takes to face your fears and make a meaningful change in the world/Racism and how its tackled especially with the characters coming from different tribes/Can fantasy have an impact on the real world and the game delivers on these themes beautifully. +Pacing in this game is the best atlus has ever made, while the story does indeed ramp up as it goes it remains consistent without it feeling bloated, this is an area that 90% of jrpgs struggle with including the persona games and its really crazy for this game to have such an amazing pacing for an 80 hour+ game. -Probably the biggest gripe i have with the game is the fact that so much of the dialogues are not voiced, which is a shame because the voice acting is amazing. -Engine is a tad bit outdated with many loading screens especially when exploring towns. Overall Metaphor takes atlus to new heights and not only lives up to the insane expectations set by Persona 5 but even surpasses it, making it one of the best games i ever played.

It’s a very solid game but it feels at odds with itself being the most unfocused game in the series, with a messy execution where all of its elements just don’t come together and feel like features that are smacked on top of each other hoping something will stick. If you want dungeons for the sake of having dungeons like so many people then you are in luck, dungeons are back, but if you want dungeons because you want well designed and well crafted levels and well designed puzzles that are rewarding to solve that the series is known for then you will be disappointed. Dungeons in EOW are very formulaic, insultingly easy, repetitive(like its either verticality or trying to get somwhere far) and solving them usually revolves around using the exact same echoes. Biggest issue i have with this game is trying way too hard mixing the old and new formula, like you have the dungeons without having the "Aha!" moments and you have the sandbox but completely stripped down compared to TOTK. The games greatest sin is trying to combine two very different design philosophies, you can’t mix the old and new Zelda formula, you either go full on with a formula or not. Overall i think many reviewers will regard this game highly because of what it has in the surface like you can finally play as zelda and the fact that dungeons are back, these two things are more than enough for reviewers to give it 9 and 10s across the board(there are literal reviews right here to prove this point) but if you look closely to its game design you will see its cracks and you will realize that nintendo should have either stuck with the traditional formula or go full with the sandbox like TOTK and Botw.

This dlc is at odds with itself, on one hand it has the best open world design and level design I have ever seen and the weapons are excellent, on the other fromsoft used the worst type of boss designs you can think off, they are insanely spammy, with ridiculous amounts of damage even with the negation at max you still get 2-3 shot like it’s nothing, they are even more tanky than ever and overall it bogs down what could have been one of the best gaming experiences, there was one moment that I had the sheer sense awe and amazement at an area that was literally decimated as soon as I saw the boss health bar this pretty much sums up the experience for me. I’m also not against bringing back old bosses and reusing old assets but they decided to bring back the worst of the worst like ulcerated tree spirit and dragons and make them x3 times worse and unfun. ofcourse there will be the “Git gud” kids out there who don’t even know the true meaning of this phrase and why it was used in the first place, I have been playing the series since 2010 and played the entirety of the games back to back leading up to the release of the dlc, the bosses are not bad because they are “hard” they are bad because they are cheap and unfair and hard for the sake of being hard, the series had fantastic bosses in the past like Gael, Ludwig, lady maria, pontiff, orphan of kos, isshin, owl and sister friede that were hard but extremely fair and led to some of the most fun and fantastic boss fights you can ever have, the bosses in the dlc sadly never reach that height because it goes to one extreme making them unfun and tedious, fromsoft listened to the wrong crowd and damaged the balancing yet again to please them, if this is the new direction that fromsoft will take then i think Im done with them.

You know when triple A devs promise the world and a game that is full of meaningful choices and consequences a world that reacts to your character and how you built them, an experience that tries its best to give a similar freedom to the table top rpg experience and you end up getting nothing but a skeleton of these promises and a basic linear action adventure game. Well BG 3 actually delivers on these promises and its one of the very rare types of games that fires on all cylinders, from exploration with a sense of discovery that even rivals the best exploration driven open world games, a fantastic storyline with an incredibly balanced tone, amazing characters that have their own unique stories, motives and personality, an immense world where your character does not feel like a chosen one or something, an incredible turn based combat system that puts most of its peers to shame, small and big scale choices that will have consequences that will adapt to how you play the game, a world that is interactive in in a way that you can solve problems through gameplay. There is a good reason why this game is currently standing at 97 on metacritc and opencritic but this is the type of game where devs went all out and it simply shows and it puts most of the soulless modern triple A games to shame, unless you dont like Crpgs this game is a must play plain and simple.

I honestly couldn’t imagine how capcom can improve on an all time classic and game design perfection like RE4 but they did the impossible with this remake, a lot of remakes nowadays are usually the same games but with very few tweaks and a huge focus on visual upgrades which is really good but to put this remake in the same category as those remakes would be a disservice to the monumental achievement that the developers did with this game. While the game does use RE4 as a base it adds massive tweaks to the game in a way that it feels like a modern version of RE4, the chapters and levels are much more tighter and paced perfectly, they got rid of what didn’t work but at the same time replaced them with sections that makes it feel more natural for a modern game without pandering to modern game designs. The village, castle and even the island are all fantastic and have been drastically improved, the island is now one of my favorite levels in the game and the developers did an incredible job improving it. The tone is a darker and more serious compared to the original but it still has some of the absurdity of the original game in a way that it feels more natural and consistent to the dark tone that they are going for. The enemies are more aggressive and stronger compared to the original while at the same time Leon has more defensive options from dodging to parrying. Many of the bosses are either reworked or massively improved and that krauser fight was truly phenomenal. The story, characters and worldbuilding were also massively improved from the main characters to the villains, even the notes that you find are very well written and interesting in a way that it fleshes out the lore. There is just so much more to love and praise about this game but the best thing about it? Just like REmake 2 it does not replace the original game, unlike most remakes REmake 4 is not a game that is trying to replace the original capcom’s goal with this was to answer the question of what RE4 would look like if it was made today, instead of being a replacement it feels like a game that compliments the original in the best way possible. Capcom has been on a roll ever since 2017 and they keep on delivering an incredible game after another and REmake 4 is not just their new crowning achievement but a reminder of why they are still one of the best developers out there.

Persona 3 is a mixed bag, on one hand you have an incredible story that will resonate with many people with excellent characters, deep themes, amazing atmosphere and it’s the game that started the persona formula. On the other hand it’s bogged down by terrible game design, from the incredibly boring and shallow Tartarus, an extremely weak first half, frustrating checkpoints, terrible pacing and an extremely long story that far overstayes it’s welcome. At the end of the day your enjoyment of persona 3 will ultimately depend on how forgiving you are to it’s flaws, some people would even BS themselves by saying that these flaws enhance the game or “makes sense” but regardless I think it’s one of the weaker entries in the series but it’s still a good game with an amazing story overall.

Many people think that Cyberpunk’s only problem is the bugs and while the bugs are a problem the game itself is half baked in every conceivable way. -The open world is lifeless don’t get me wrong the setting and worldbuilding are top notch but it’s quite jarring to have an open world with arcades, billiards, restaurants, clubs, brain dance and advertisements and you can’t interact with any of them. -Gameplay in an Fps game relies on two things enemy AI/gunplay and both are terrible. -it’s extremely short it feels like a book that has half of its pages torn and the story itself feels unfinished and unsatisfying. -Most of the side content are gigs and they are ubisoft tier fetch/kill quests only difference is that there is a wall of text to give some context but it’s a far cry compared to the Witcher 3 quest design. -Choices are meaningless. -RPG mechanics are half baked. -Build variety is lackluster. Overall even without the bugs Cyberpunk is an unfinished game that is a massive step back compared to the Witcher 3 in every regard, the game is full of potential and they may one day fully realize that potential with another game but until then we are stuck with this mediocrity.
