This is more a 2.5 for me.
I loved “breaking point” it was an intelligent and emotional exploration of modern motherhood so had high hopes for the authors second novel.
While it kept my attention, particularly in the second half of the book, it just didn’t really have anything to say.
If you’re after a beach read pick this up, but it has nothing to differentiate itself from the hundreds of other domestic thrillers that are released each month. Don’t expect the same brilliance and intelligence of Breaking Point, this is more like a made for tv movie
