As someone who is a huge fan of the original i fully came into this adaptation with low expectations seeing the common theme of butchering anime when translating it into live action. i’m glad the directors took some creative liberties and didn’t make the show a 1:1 ratio to the original, adjusting the characters overall but keeping the storyline pretty much the same. i went into the show completely expecting the same ending as the original, and was shocked when the last episode went completely sideways. no matter what the critics say i loved the live adaptation and hope that the bad reviews aren’t enough to stop this from getting a second season.
