A nothing read that doesn't bring anything new to the table.
Having listened to Jocko's podcast and how articulate he comes across I took the dive and purchased this book. I don't usually buy leadership or "self help" books as they are mostly full of self praise from the author and provide no lessons that your average person couldn't figure out themselves. Sadly, this book was no different.
It's the usual repetitive nonsense about hard learned lessons only this time it's got a shiny Navy Seal trident in the cover. Nothing in this book will be revolutionary to anyone with a modicum of common sense or a little experience in leadership.
In short, it's money for old rope.
