It was great fun, with all the clever repartee and quips aplenty. But the violence! It was not funny, didn't move the plot along - in fact, there are many scenes where the violence was so superfluous that it makes what follows hard to swallow. Parker joined every successive baddie who just killed his best friend. The first scene, and the weird way it was resolved, was symptomatic of many incongruous slaughters. It would be interesting to know the body count.
