I just finished watching this and I have to say what a squandered opportunity.
The twins idea on paper was really cool, the execution was extremely lackluster. The two girls just randomly go in the woods and 3 days later they are possessed. Ok, got it. They literally put no context on that part at all. Ann Dowd was in the movie for a total of 4 minutes and that is the character most of us wanted to see the most. She gets snuffed out as a character in the most violent way, what a waste of her amazing talent. They bounced the girls back and forth to the hospital, just to commit them to an asylum, just to be able to take them right out with no resistance to do a ritual? Make that make sense at all. Not to mention, why not just to the ritual in the asylum in the first place?
This movie is a cash grab with a squandered plot, mediocre acting, and no scary parts at all. This is a sign to just leave the franchise alone. I feel bad for those who had paid money to watch this train wreck in a theater.
