I did not read the plot and therefore I was shocked about the story. I like that it breaks the stereotypes of princesses being just about beauty and gracefulness dreaming of marrying a handsome prince to be successful, men (princes and kings) being the one to save the day, and stepmothers being the evil one. However, I didn’t like that the story depended on the dragon being able to talk, that the dragon got defeated by its own fire breath, and that there was a map available to escape the cave. I mean, if you are trying to survive and found a way out, would you go back inside the cave to draw an escape map?
