I had given only positive movie reviews. Here is a negative review of why “Thug Life” failed for me: 1. Kamal's character, Sakthivel Nayakar, is a bad man from every perspective, and Maniratnam expected folks to accept him as the hero. - He is selfish and self-centered. - He is jealous and egoistic. - He shields himself with a child to escape a police encounter and is proud of it. - He is a womanizer and wants his wife to accept his behavior. - He cheats on his wife and compensates for it with his so-called love for her. - He is an opportunist and claims to have united Amaran's sister with him on a coincidental opportunity. Finally, he is an epitome of every dirty human trait and character. 2. Simbu is the show stealer; he is a good man from every perspective. But Maniratnam wants to show him as both the protagonist and villain. 3. Kamal, a great actor, does extreme overacting in this movie (he rarely does so in any of his movies). But Simbu, an overactor in every movie, stuns us with his fantastic acting in this movie. 4. Maniratnam, the great, is short of a story and re-presents “Sekka Sivantha Vanam” with a different skin. 5. Trisha is Cheap and so is her Character. Her love for Kamal is presented Cringey and gory Her character and her guardians' characters are heights of irritation. 6. Maniratnam is a king in presenting police characters in his movies…. Nasar in Nayagan, Prabhu in Agni Natchatiram, Prithviraj in Raavan, Vijay Sethupathi in Chekka Sivantha Vanam, why even the villain police Kelkar in Nayagan. But his policemen, Ashok Selvan and Chetan, are buffoons in this movie. 7. Finally Logic - Maniratnam never miss in logic and never falters….. “Chandra’s Guardian Policeman very well knows that Kamal escaped with her Brother when they were kids and he could have easily united them, as Kamal continues to live a Gangster life right under his nose in Delhi”- But he never did it all his life and left Chandra search for Amaran for 25 years 8. Tall Abirami and Short Kamal were well balanced in Virumandi, atleast by the Cinematographer In Thug Life,Kamal looks a puny in front of his Giraffe wife and thats comical - Looks like Frodo Baggins and Gandalf as husband and wife 9. Finally why that “Vinveli Nayaga” Song for a Sadist guy….. He is not “Cooper” from Interstellar or “Jim Lovell” from Apollo 13 …. Hearing the songs from Teaser, i fathomed that Kamal was NASA pilot in Thug Life, Ima cheated 😞 The great Maniratnam has made his greatest mess of his lifetime ever. End of the day, folks go to the theater to watch a feel-good movie or a heartwarming movie. “Thug Life” is absolutely negative-vibed, and you feel irritated and gloomy coming out of the theater.

Zero Dark Thirty….. Hurt Locker…. Blackhawk Down….. As we had been Wowing Hollywood Military Movies alone….. Indian Producers, gives an Answer back to Hollywood through “Amaran” 🫡 With busy schedules….. I so much regret to have missed the movie on first week of its release, No regrets, I managed today and was dumbstruck….. I would simply rate it 100/100 👏🏽….. despite digging so deep to find any flaw…. There was nothing for negative criticism… And “Amaran” is a wonder from every perspective Gosh….. Hatsoff to Sivakarthikeeyan 🫡 …. A bubbly and charming hero totally transcends into a perfect Army Major…. Let it be his demeanour,body language,style and even his super Rambo physique transformation- he simply blew it with his awesome acting… A bear hug 🤗 for his commitment Sai Pallavi had literally lived the Character and role of Mrs Rebecca Mukund. She was absolutely poetic and makes the audience feel movie as reality. We all knew, that she was absolutely talented…..this role was a feast to her charm and talents…. And she was simply amazing In 2024…… it’s so difficult to convey true love and emotions in a movie…. Kudos to the director for conveying the romance and indepth sweet couple love 🥰 so beautifully and emotionally conveyed through Sai Pallavi and Siva. The Reel couple and film crew ,had greatly honoured the real life Mrs&Mr Mukund, and this movie is a great deal of respect well showered to the departed Major Mukund. The direction, screen play,stunt,technical team…. A to Z were super awesome. Kudos to GV Prakash’s fabulous background score and music. Cameraman had amazed us In essence, this film is a tribute to the Indian Armed Forces, presenting a poignant and powerful narrative that honors their sacrifices and valor. Despite prevailing negative perceptions about Indian cinema, this film stands as a powerful testament to the medium's ability to convey profound truths and stir the soul. Thanks to Director Rajkumar and Raj Kamal International for bringing such a quality movie out there. Heartfelt gratitude to the cast, crew, and everyone involved in bringing this remarkable story to life. Salutes to the soldiers and their families. Salutes to Major Mukund V & his buddy Vikram 🫡

The Greatest of All Time

Selvaraghavan’s “Bakasuran” is a Wonderful movie and definitely underrated by its reviews…. Selvaraghavan is known for his sadistic and dark psycho thrillers and this movie was stereotyped as same…. But actually, this is a lovely movie of emotions and father’s pain…. There is no gory sex or cheap adult content as the social media portrays The message is excellent and a must watch for adolescent girls and their parents The message….”to keep a Girl child safe under 4 walls can turn dangerous, if she is left with a mobile …is so true and practical- The same message as Moral dictation by Natraj during end credits is valuable From a movie’s perspective- screen play was never boring or sluggish & kept you on seat edge …. Finally full scores to Selvaraghavan who gives a commendable performance… which is so natural and mellowed …. He establishes a emotional connect with the audience right from scene 1…. He underplays his pain, anger, grief and emotions and still makes a heavy impact…. With not so a pleasant appearance and a Prosthetic eye…. He is able to steal the audience My scores: 85% and definitely an underrated film
