I saw this movie today with the family on a recommendation from a friend. It is not good at all. I didn’t enjoy it while watching and the more I think about it the more I am irritated I spent money to see such disgraceful representation of our Saviors birth. The only silver lining is that two of my children weren’t there to have this story line in their minds to cloud their understanding of this important event. 1) They represented Mary as being suppressed feminist. Not sure why needed to enter the story line. 2) They made the angel Gabriel a bubbling fool who struggled to deliver his message to Mary. 3) They turned the wise men into comic relief. It causes them to seem unintelligent. The gifts they offer are an after thought and part of the comedy instead being portrayed for what they truly were. I could keep going and going but the point is, this movie is not worth seeing. It makes the Sacred feel light minded. Don’t waste your time, energy, or money.
