I had high hopes as the main actress is Anna Torv, of Fringe fame, but I was quickly turned off by yet another series that is a vehicle for the LGBTQ agenda, trying to normalize that which is not normal in the least. I couldn't watch more than one episode; it was so repulsive.

The first season was ok, but the 2nd season really suffered from bad writing and acting. The main character (Hakan), played by Çağatay Ulusoy, was just atrocious. He failed utterly to imbue any depth to the character he was playing, resorting to constant enraged screaming with virtually no capacity for any rational thought processes. Everything he tried to do in his capacity as "the Protector", he totally screwed up and made things worse for himself and everyone around him. It leaves you thinking, "how did this moron get chosen to be the Protector?" The other actors seemed to follow his lead and descended into madness, screaming and acting irrationally.

Whether you love or hate this film will largely depend on whether you are a Protestant or Orthodox Christian. If you're the former, you'll probably love it. If you're the latter, you'll spend your time cringing over one error after another in its heretical interpretation of the prophetic verses to which the film refers. Ironically, the film depends entirely on Orthodox cathedrals and other imagery when wanting to show inspiring Christian images, but 100% on Protestant ministers in providing interpretations. Not a single Eastern or Western Orthodox Christian's view is given time for an alternate viewpoint. I guess that's because an amillennial view would spoil the narrative of the heresy of chiliasm.
