Its well made but so clichรฉ. Theres nothing special about it besides the fantastic water production. They wasted more water than nestle. The characters look nothing like the real life people. They sexjalize the mother within the first 15 mins which I thought was disrespectful. I get the vibe they didn't stick to the truth just bc of how typical it felt in a movie like this. Its not a movie to remember but if you're bored and desperate its not a bad choice. Lucas was fantastic at acting. Hope to see that kid in more. I found myself asking a lot of questions during this movie, there was things that just made no sense but I guess its "true story" right. Ya idk, its really just a good movie to put on if you've ran out of good things to watch. Honestly I hope im not the only one w he n i say im sick of seeing these typical Hollywood movies that lack creativity about white privileged families going through something. Im not trying to downplay that actual families trauma im just saying dont we have enough movies like this? We could have all assumed how this would go for a white family but what about the story from the otherside? Like the natives that risked their own lives to save those people and reunite them with their families?
