I was nervous about my expectations for this show because the HALO Video game series is in my opinion one of the best storylines and campaigns of any game series created. It has captivated and stayed with me from a 14 year kid to a Mid 30s adult with the same interest to play and follow. The first episode "Contact" was very promising for the 9 episode season and I hope several more to follow. Master chief the other spartan and UNSC gear and equipment looks great. Covenant and Alien CGI is always hard whether its MARVEL or Starwars you have to just put being a nitpick cynic to the side and enjoy. They did a great job integrating the audio tid-bits and signals that trigger the video game nostalgia. I am optimistic. The acting was strong and not cheesy. I think this show is benefiting from the last 10-15 years of Marvel / Starwars type movies have integrated the real and CGI in a consumable way. If you are giving this a "terrible" type review you're just being "that guy" and feel the need to pick apart or criticize details that aren't important, like "he took off his helmet, way to ruin tradition", give me a break who cares, just enjoy. 1 episode in the majority of Halo fans will be happy they have this show, I know I am. It is impossible to make a show exactly like a video game -- you are physically playing a game. This is not meant to replace or overtake the game, its meant to be a fun addition to Halo universe and give Fans who just completed Infinite another box of popcorn and something to enjoy.. Relax and stop trying to make it live up to a standard that is unachievable and enjoy it for what it is.. that's my advice
