It started out with typical Owen Wilson humor. But unfortunately, I lost interest when Zero entered the scene. It was apparent that the producers/writers were more concerned with Social lecturing. When Owen asked Zero to join the team and be the caddy, I lost interest. Zero’s sexual identify did not add anything to the story. It was not funny when they introduced their pronouns. The writers should have just stuck with building the relationship between Santi and Pryce. I wish Hollywood would stop with the social lecturing and focus more on good characters and plotlines, it seems like so many shows are written in a day. Maybe start looking outside of Hollywood and in the real world

I enjoyed the first 4 seasons, but the social issues were or as I referred to “Being lectured to” was overdone. In the 1950’s in a small town, I find it hard to believe that someone would be openly gay. A white minister would openly love a black women, there would be an Indian minister, computers etc.

I know it’s a fictional show, but it would have been nice if it were a little more believeable. Harlan sleeps with other women and his wife doesn’t care. He’s a drunk but still is able to walk straight? Alcoholics are not rational. The son and wife agree to have dinner with his HS sweetheart. The bartender claims Harlan is his father and Harlan’s wife believes him. It feels like the script was thrown together in a day and they picked bits and pieces from other shows. I won’t even go into DEI. If you’re going to do DEI then also include handicapped, cognitively disabled, physically disabled, elderly. But of course DEI doesn’t include them. Only skin color and Gays.

It’s light and funny in some scenes. I know you’re trying to be inclusive, but you forget about physically, cognitively disabled people, elderly and short people.
