It is actually shocking how horrible Heather Graham's acting is in this. I always wondered why we didn't see her very much outside of films where it was all about her body (Austin Powers ect) and now we know that's because it's literally all she has to offer. The writing is partially to blame but a good actress would do at least a little something to elevate it. She only makes it worse.
