Well. This movie has really stuck with me. I watched half of it (because I couldn’t finish it) months ago. I like marvel movies, action flicks, scary movies, a good overall variety of movies. But this. This was just explosion after explosion and nonsensical action from start to finish with a giant heaping scoop of sexualizing and exploiting women for money. I hate to say that. I really do. People read those remarks and they automatically roll their eyes and think “feminist”. I guess maybe I am. I hate leaving bad reviews. I really hate giving something a bad review that Ryan freaking Reynolds was in. Because let’s face it, no one is better than Ryan Reynolds. He was the only reason I watched it. And then, I was disappointed in him for being in it. There is a scene in this movie with an old man and a prostitute that I found particularly upsetting. I guess it “triggered” me. I admit that. But to constantly see women in movies depicted as an object, not a person..... it’s gets old. It gets really old. Do better Michel Bay. Be better.

I only watched it because Helen Hunt was in it. But....... I just got mind f**ked. GREAT movie. Watch it.
