This 2k has a lot more mechanics than previous 2kโs to prevent cheaters but also gives it more realism. One thing thatโs commonly complained is the shooting and timing because itโs much harder to green and shot timings are going to be different depending on the type of shot you are making (c&s, otd, etc) and this gives it a more realistic feeling but can be quite challenging for new players. This is where the new mechanics come in they created more fluid dribble motions and a different but similar shooting mechanic that can be feel a bit awkward at first but after using it for a while you do see that it is the superior shooting compared to square button or basic analog hold/release. This 2k feels much harder to play which can make the experience terrible, but if you can adapt to the new features that the game has implemented itโs actually playable and can be enjoyed. With all that said itโs still 2k pay to win bs and still has the stuff we complain every year but there is a lot of advanced mechanics that can easily set you apart from the casual and better players and is a good way of actually demonstrating skills.
