Pixie Hall-Reace

I'd like to give it 2.5 stars- it is what it is. If you go in expecting something excellent you're going to be disappointed. It's highly predictable but entertaining enough for its genre. Megan Fox does a good job portraying the AI and I do always think she is better suited to horror-esque roles.

A season 2 review of Capote vs The Swans (I liked s01 I thought Jessica Lange was superb, but she mostly always is - especially when teamed with Ryan Murphy and in the interests of full disclosure I adore Truman Capote as an author and deplore him as a human being). Intriguing plot, stellar cast and a good build of each characters background but where this truly shines is the pure genius of Tom Hollander who embodies Capote and the brilliant production value of Ryan Murphy and his team.

I actually think it was quite good. I think people who didn't enjoy it, perhaps didn't understand it. There wasn't meant to be any chemistry left between Dakota Johanson's and Armie Hammer's characters. Even more so if it seems like it is a bad movie with no plot that is because it is meant to be seen that way. Starting out strong and purposefully ending with everything coming undone, as seen from the main characters perspective. (But maybe that's just me), it did however excel, in creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere in a few scenes through some great camera and sound work. Don't watch if bugs en masse freak you out!

I'm just not sure. I want to like it but I don't. Able Tesfaye's character is just so unlikable it's hard to believe that people would fall into his cult. I feel the character should have been more charismatic, especially if the cult is sexual in nature. Lily-Rose Depp shows hints at being great but never quite gets there. The supporting staff is strong especially Suzanna Son as Chloe and Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Destiny. Its enjoyable enough - it's just not great. However, Mike Dean who is a real life genius, is absolutely superb he almost makes me want to give it 4 stars.

I find the premise of someone framing themselves as a pedophile difficult to believe, no matter the circumstances but nevertheless the show is very good. Stanley Tucci is excellent, Atkins Estimond provides some macabre comedic relief and David Tennant gives a strong performance. At only 4 episodes the series is fast paced, a little unbeliveable and yet entertaining

Its quite cheesey, very predictable and in parts I felt a bit over acted. Perhaps 3.5 stars is better deserving because honestly I like Katherine Heigl and here I am having sat through all 26 episodes across 2 seasons so it must have been enjoyable... right?

It is dark, it is crude, it is a little ridiculous, some parts are overacted but it is also very very funny. It works.

I wanted so badly to like it. The premise was something I could get behind, but it's slow and poorly executed. I can't quite put my finger on what makes it bad but it is. I finished after many attempts mostly watching while scrolling through my phone.

Superb from start to finish. All four seasons are strong with the actors playing their roles to perfection. The camera work, scenery, colours and soundtrack all pull together to make a thoroughly unnerving and entertaining series.

I tried really hard to like it, it's enjoyable enough but it just misses its mark.
