This film is boring because the emphasis of the whole film is placed squarely on the atmosphere… I understand that some people my get drawn into it but for me I like stuff to happen! That’s not to say that a good atmosphere is a bad thing because it’s not… but if nothing happens after 30 min I can lose interest quite easily, and then if nothing happens after an hour I get frustrated, and then by the time the only jump scare in the movie happens I’m so disinterested and unattached to the film such that it has no effect on me…. as for the narrative of this film I’m sorry but I just didn’t get it, which was either done on purpose to create some kind of dark mystery or I missed the story due to boredom and frustration Just not my kind of scary film I think and I’m sure most people would agree however there will be a few people out there that would enjoy it… maybe??

This is a good mini series which helps to give depth to the main series starring Cavill and just helps to open up the world of the Witcher. That being said it is not without its flaws mainly due to the story being somewhat compressed or compacted into just 4 episodes, I feel that 6 or even 8 episodes would have been enough to prevent this. To summarise this is a good series which compliments the main Witcher series but in my opinion just needed to be a bit longer so the characters could have been portrayed in more depth…. Definitely worth a watch though and I really do hope they keep making different series on the Witcher universe!
