Big fan of Studio Ghibli and was really excited to see the boy and the heron. Sadly it just missed almost every beat for me. Good- Visually brilliant Music was good (but not super memorable) Bad- Slow start Plot jumped around a lot No real character development so hard to care about any character Genuinely gutted as I’ve been looking forward to this for a while now. If you want a modern great anime movie I much preferred Suzume. Not studio Ghibli I know but Suzume is beautifully done, will stick with you and you’ll want to watch it again.
