Just saw Superman in 3D with D-Box seats andโฆ HOLY KRYPTONITE, it was awesome.
Okay, so first of all โ those D-Box seats? Total game-changer. They move, shake, and vibrate with the action. Every punch, flight, explosion โ BOOM, the seats were right there with us. It was like Superman invited us to ride shotgun while he saved the day (and shook our butts silly in the process).
But honestly, the D-Box was just the extra guac on the burrito. The real star was James Gunnโs Superman. This movie had COLOR, it had ENERGY, it had actual JOY โ like, real joy. Not โbrooding in the rain with daddy issuesโ joyโฆ but legit fun.
My wife and I walked out grinning like we just got off a roller coaster. The car ride home turned into a play-by-play of our favorite moments โ โDid you see when heโโ โYES and then BAMโโ We were basically doing the audio commentary in the car.
This was the first time in forever that a DC movie didnโt feel like homework. No emotional baggage, no gray filter of doom โ just good olโ fashioned superhero fun with some punchy heart.
Bottom line: Go see Superman. Get the D-Box seats if you can. And bring someone you like to laugh and geek out with afterward โ because this one reminds you why you fell in love with superheroes in the first place
