as with other reviewers of this movie, I too was left asking so many questions to events that were included but remained unresolved!
I now kinda understand after researching the Clovehitch Killer....
the general 'plot' is based on the true story of the 'pillar of the community, scout leader family man' who back in the 1970s tied up, tortured and killed 10 women over a period of 30 years.
His downfall and capture was his arrogance and ego! He stopped his killing spree for 10 years and it was only a newspaper report that mentioned no more killings meant he had probably died, that prompted him to taunt the police.........and as we know, DNA etc had advanced....!
Whereas the real Clovehitch killer had a teenage daughter, the script writers gave him a teenage son for this take on the storyline. And also devised their own twist on how he was caught and dealt with......so I kinda forgive them leaving the unanswered question of what happened with the final victim, as there wasnt one in the real story of how he was captured, arrested, found guilty and imprisoned for 175 years!
