SPOILER FREE REVIEW 4/10 Midsommer is the type of movie that would take a herculean effort for me to sit through a second time. It's clear early on where the plot is headed and there isn't a single twist. The characters, who are hard to root for, do the typical we're in a horror movie so lets ignore those furiously waving red flags and stick around. Speaking of sticking around, if you can sit through this one, the story has no payoff. The movie is billed as a thriller/horror film, but the near unbearable pacing during its 2 and a half hour run make this more of a slow moving drama with an unintentionally hilarious soft core porn group sex scene that unfortunately still isn't worth the price of admission. If weird, slow moving, and unsatisfying is your thing, give it a watch.
