One of the best shows I have watched in a very long time. My parents made me watch this with them, and I was a bit skeptical throughout the first episode, as I usually don't like detective dramas. But WOW! Episodes 2 and 3 were fantastic, and the montage at the end of episode 4 sent chills down my spine. I'd say it loses its footing just a tiny bit in the back half, but by episode 7, I was back in. The finale brought tears to my eyes and reminded me why I love art as much as I do. Some really great performances, but my favorite has got to be the genius that is Will Sharpe as Rodney. He seems like he is only going to be there for comic relief in the midst of the tragic and frantic life of Kenzo, but he really comes into his own as a character and makes you forget, during his scenes, that the show is not entirely about him! Additionally, I loved the chemistry between Rodney and Taki. While the youngsters did really steal the show for me (I guess I found their characters more relatable), overall, it's a masterpiece of a show, and I can already tell it is one I will rewatch countless times.
