Very sad and very true. I’ve been touched by the Child Welfare System in California. Horrific. Way too much power. Something really has to change with the system! Tell me why the judge takes the word of one corrupt person that has lied all throughout reports and can keep your children from you over that? It’s like they do that intentionally and who wouldn’t have a nervous breakdown and then they use that against you and say that you’re not mentally fit! You’ve stolen my child from me! My story wasn’t as devastating as this one, but there were times that I felt like I was gonna kill myself absolutely. They overwhelmed you to the point of giving up on life and adopt your children now after they’ve been abused in foster care with proof of it and taking them away for no reason I mean it’s just crazy. Child Welfare has way too much power! Something has to change! What one person says is the truth and you’ve got no argument. The judge won’t hear it you either gotta deal with begging CPS to get your kids back and deal with their case BS or lose them. So sad. The laws need to change, they should not have immunity, if you’re doing what you’re supposed to do, you wouldn’t have the fear of a lawsuit! They can just lie up a storm and get away with it! The one judge sits there and believes them. Child abuse is criminal but of course they don’t charge you criminally. I told them I wanted to be charged criminally. I wanna be found guilty by a jury which is not possible. They charge with general neglect, lie about it and then rip families apart. At least they got their daughter back. I never got my son back in a private investigator told me that he passed away. 11 years later, I have kids and both my children are in my custody! Disgusting what a sick system we have. I’ve never cried so much over a movie.
