I wanted to watch something upbeat but also simply enjoyable so I chose to watch “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris”. This was more then delightful. It was upbeat, charming, fairytale like, just a warm hearted movie that was bright and dark, exciting and reverent. I never leave reviews like this but I feel like, I must. This is a movie I fear may be overlooked and I simply can’t have that. This movie uplifted my spirits in a way that I didn’t realize I needed. I would like to say that the actress playing Ada was casted perfectly! Her beauty her kindness and a bit of a spitfire was captured by #LesleyManville in the most sincere way. Also can I just say #JasonIsaacs you have never played a part more genuine then Archie. This character some would think didn’t play a large role in the story, but he certainly did! The desire the electrifying connection between the two characters and also the longing between them, stayed with you as if you could feel what Ada feels for him. Then I just wanted to say how much a girl needs a best friend. Personally I need a bestie like Vi, she would definitely show up with a shovel if needed with no context. I just really want to applaud Ms. #EllenThomas, she wouldn’t have existed without you. Fantabulous as Vi, in the flesh!
