It's hard to appreciate this movie after seeing the likes of Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan, but for its time, it was a well made movie that tried to present the events as they knew them then in the best way possible. That so many big name stars signed on is a testament to the esteem Hollywood held for this project.
