Null Null

I’m playing the 8/16/2021 version of the PC game on a very high PC/TV/surround sound system. This is probably the highest overall production value in a video game that I’ve ever seen. Some games do pieces of everything better, but nothing else does *everything*. Usually you sacrifice something in an open world game. This is the first one where I don’t feel that’s true. Every sound is cinema quality. All the foley is perfect. The orchestrations are perfect. The graphics are fantastic in 4k. The towns feel alive. The voice acting is Pixar level. This is a playable movie and time machine and a legitimate piece of art. If any game goes i to the library of congress this would be the one. RDR2 isn’t my personal favorite game of all time simply because of nostalgia and moments that just don’t feel possible anymore as an adult… but in my opinion on purely technical grounds alone this is clearly the best overall game ever produced. Add in that it’s a great story as well and damn.
