(this would be a five if the movie was a bit longer) All of these critics like Bloody Disgusting, IGN, etc... I understand they have a job to do but do not take their word for it. #Ghostbusters #FrozenEmpire is a lot of fun and worth seeing on the big screen, IMO! As a huge fan, I cannot tell you how long I have been waiting for THIS exact type of movie. Continuing the story with only a passing reference to the past and/or building upon what is already there. A new story, even if based on elements from the long running cartoon series, The Real Ghostbusters. This movie WAS the cartoon come to life. I have ONE real complaint... it wasn't nearly long enough of a movie. I feel there are some story points missing. 1 hour and 55 mins goes VERY very fast. All of a sudden you're in the 3rd act. The movie isn't perfect, and it doesn't have to be. The movie is, of course, not better than the original. NONE of the movies are. They are all good sequels, and this one is no exception. The visuals were the best mix of practical and CGI since... #GhostbustersAfterlife. On a personal note this movie had more of Ecto-1 in it than ANY movie previous, which delights me to no end. Several cast members can be considered to have stolen the show, with a fun surprise at the end, but if I break that down, it will give to much away. So do yourself a favor. If you're into sci-fi/fantasy or specifically Ghostbusters, go see Frozen Empire today!
