Because the reviews were so varied, I decided to watch the entire movie. A total waste of my time. There is not a single moment of reality in Southern Comfort. Most of the dialogue verges on comic and the acting is awful. A movie such as Private Ryan is very realistic and even top suspenseful thriller movies keep you on the edge of your seat because the situation is plausible. Watch Anthony Hopkins in any movie and you will understand my comments. A one star is too high for Southern Comfort!
