This is my first Brom read, and I was captivated by page 1. The author weaves a tale worthy of Grimm combined with a heaping spoonful of Hawthorne, and the result is pure magic. The beautiful imagery of the wild folk, the pagan connection to nature, and of course the hypocrisy of Puritanism are all well woven into the story, leading to the ultimate conclusion that good and evil will always coexist in the world and within all of us. The art throughout also really captivated me. I absolutely loved this book. Thank you, Mr. Brom.
