Straight Up is one of the best movies I've EVER seen. Not only does it disprove the views of heteronormative relationships and their reliance on sex to function, it also shows the long and somewhat tiring process of coming into yourself and understanding who you are as person. It also gave a glimpse of an open/polyerosy relationship which in this day and age there are few (healthy) representations of. Rory and Todd's relationship was beautiful yet heartbreaking and I don't think there's a better way to say this movie was a masterpiece. James Sweeney created a beautiful piece of art and I hope this movie gets the exposure it deserves.
