Amazing movie. I had tears in my eyes most of the time. The movie sets clear borderline between good and evil, between lies and truth. It forces viewer to clearly decide which camp he is in. One doesn't have to be religious to value human life in general, but anyone is human enough to understand the horror of ending human life in the first days of its beginning, when it is already not yours to take.
Most of us have to come of age to start noticing things that should not be happening. This movie is as much for parents as it is for teenagers. If is what I would call a foundational movie. It is the same as watching movies about nazi atrocities, when children were buried alive or died in concentration camps from starvation, and understanding that we should not allow it to be repeated. It is movie about human decency, about giving ourselves a hint what to do and not to do in life, so we are at piece with ourselves when we become old and face our own death. For those of us who are religious, god will be always the final judge. For those of us who are not, it is ourselves who will be the final judge and that judgement may be much more punishing and unforgiving per this movie's story.
