Isaac Steveson

This touched me deeper than I was expecting it to. The visual and orchestral masterpiece blended together for a very keenly felt experience of The Studio Ghibli we all know and love. It has many wonderful elements that any viewer can interpret and discern profound meaning. The main theme’s I understood from the film, showed masterfully the importance of living in an imperfect world and how to transition from grief and loss. This bolstered by emotional orchestral and piano music combined with truly stunning hand drawn animations makes The Boy and The Heron an instant classic. Put simply, I loved the way this movie made me feel. A truly beautiful experience.

Best movie I've seen in a long time. Didn't feel like a sequel at all it felt like one fluid movie with a great ending.
