After the release of 'The Marvels,' I noticed a lot of negativity online, with people quickly jumping on a hate train. Initially, I wondered if they might be onto something—are the themes in this movie really that bad? Does it falter in storytelling? However, a few months later, I decided to watch it for myself with an open mind, disregarding others' opinions. Surprisingly, I found the movie quite enjoyable. While it had some flaws in storytelling, feeling a bit rushed, the relationship between Captain Marvel and Kamala seemed a tad forced. Yet, overall, the film impressed me. I particularly appreciated the focus on friendship and Marvel returning to its roots with a lighter, more youthful tone. This departure from the somberness of previous Avengers films and many other Marvel movies was refreshing. 'The Marvels' embraced humor, lightness, and quick pacing, making it an enjoyable watch. I believe people should form their own opinions by experiencing things firsthand, rather than relying solely on internet chatter.
So please, go and watch the movie for yourself, and remember, superhero movies are mostly targeted towards teens and young adult... so don't act shocked when it seems childish. Maybe its not meant for you.
